Video transcript:
Hi, I'm Jason Gunn, I'm the CEO of Oliver's Real Food.
I have had businesses previously which were successful from a financial pont of view, but never ever really satisfied my soul.
...and creating Oliver's Real Food, I wanted to create a business which expressed really who I am as a human being, and made a positive contribution to the planet.
For us to be the best we can be as an organisation, that we really take the time to nurture the people that make up our organisation
...and for me Transcendental Meditation (TM) is something that I was introduced to just over 2 years ago now, and when I realised the shift, the impact TM had on me as an individual, I very quickly came to realise that this was something that I felt I wanted to share with all the people that make such a wonderful contribution to the business of Oliver's Real food.
OK...if everybody is sitting comfortably, we'll start with a 10 minute meditation...I'll keep the time...Lets close our eyes.
My name is Darren Halsey, and I'm the warehouse logistics manager for Oliver's. I've only been recently introduced to the world of TM, and I've certainly gained a lot more clarity if not zest from practising meditation a couple of times a day, and you definitely do come out on the other side of it feeling the world's a lot brighter, and you have achieved some equilibrium, some calmness out of the hecticness of the day, and its good to take that time out of it all and come back to who you are again, and meditation allows you to be the person that you are...

Hey, my name's Amanda, I work for Oliver's as an operations manager. Through Oliver's I've been given the opportunity to learn transcendental Meditation. I feel its given me a personal experience of being calmer, of being more appreciative of things within my life, a greater ease of dealing with situations, weather that be at work or at home, its something that I've noticed within our team-mates that are also doing Transcendental meditation, that there's a lot less conflict, its a lot easier to work together.
There's a lot less conflict, its a lot easier to work together
Now we have 17% of our team meditating, which I think is fantastic, and it certainly does make the vibration or the feeling of our work place a lot different to what it was before.
Hi I'm Paul Schwarz, I helped set up the company with Jason and his family 7 years ago.
When I get an opportunity to meditate, I come back and I'm literally giggling sometimes and rejuvenates and happy and rested and focused. Its like I've started the day. Its an amazing feeling.
This company for me is awe inspiring. Its all about you, your mind, your body, your soul. If you work on all that and portray it in the way you treat people at work, and the way you talk to your clients, and your customers, and say Yes! Rather than being too negative about situations, and being positive, and try to make people happy...I think thats a way of inspiring other people to be the same way.
My name's Gautam, I work as the Executive Chef at Oliver's Oliver's is my happy place...very happy place...
I've just got the 5 C's literally that I thought of a little while ago:
* I've got Clarity in thought,
* Commitment at work,
* Compassion for others,
* I've realised that TM has helped me in being more Creative now,
* ... and a Calmness... at work, with people, with everything in life.
So I'm Kate, I work at the Oliver's Northbound store, I'm a store manager there.
So I feel at work now, since there are so many of us meditating, there is a lot more of us working together and, doing things as a team, and I think that there is a deeper understanding of each other as well. It does make a big difference in how we work together, and how we learn to accept each other, and our differences.
It does make a big difference in how we work together
Hi I'm Lori Thompson, I work at the Oliver's Hexham store. As more Oliver's team learn to meditate, I think its going to be a great impact on the business.
I think its going to be a great impact on the business
I think everyone will come together as one, in the sense, when you're doing a group meditation, I don't know, the energy you get off it is just...its much better than just doing it on your own, and you're doing it as a team so its going to bring everyone together.
Jason Gunn: There's a much greater level of co-operation and coherence and support within that group, because we all feel more human, we all feel more real, we all feel more happy and settled within ourselves, so theres no sense of ego trying to prove your point, or being better than anybody else.
We feel a degree of connectedness which brings us together, and we work better as a team as a result.
